I am a self taught artist, who in the past couple of years, has fully immersed myself in using photography as my medium to put across what I wish to portray. As disabled woman and a mother of two, I struggle every day with all the physical, emotional and mental issues that come with being in all those catergories and so use my art as my therapy, as my outlet and to help both myself and audience pull away the wool and be completely, honestly exposed.
I see art, be it me or some alter egos that push through when the camera is on, as each important moment captured and documented and shared; no matter how much it scares me, helps me or even protects me. Each piece is a conversation I need with myself or with others or even others to have with others; a desperately needed conversation.
